Executive Health Resources, Inc. Renews HFMA Peer Reviewed Designation
CHICAGO, IL, January 19, 2012 - The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) today announced that, following rigorous review, Executive Health Resources, Inc. (EHR) has once again consistently met the "Peer Reviewed by HFMA®" standard. HFMA recently reviewed EHR as part of the annual evaluation process necessary to maintain EHR's comprehensive solutions' HFMA Peer Reviewed designation.
EHR's comprehensive solutions include: Medicare and Medicaid Medical Necessity Compliance Management; Medicare and Medicaid DRG Coding and Medical Necessity Denials and Appeals Management; Managed Care/Commercial Payor Admission Review and Denials Management; and Expert Advisory Services. To date, EHR's Physician Advisors have performed more than 4 million medical necessity reviews, conducted hundreds of audits at client hospital facilities and successfully identified and appealed thousands of inappropriate medical necessity denials, concurrently and retrospectively, at all levels of appeal.
"EHR is proud to be honored for a sixth consecutive year with HFMA's elite Peer Review designation," explained Robert Corrato, MD, MBA, president and CEO of Executive Health Resources. "This appointment is extremely valuable because it is based on our customers' feedback. EHR strives to deliver valuable solutions and customer service excellence to our more than 2,000 hospital clients. This designation validates that we continue to achieve these goals and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our longstanding partnerships with HFMA and its members."
HFMA's Peer Reviewed process is designed to provide healthcare finance professionals with an objective third party evaluation of products and services used in the healthcare finance workplace. The rigorous, eleven-step process consists of a peer review panel that includes current customers, prospects who have not made a purchase, and expert HFMA Peer Review board members. Peer Review status approval of the product or service and its performance claims are based on effectiveness, quality and usability, price, value, and customer and technical support.
"We're pleased to have EHR renew their HFMA Peer Reviewed designation," says HFMA President and CEO Richard L. Clarke, DHA, FHFMA. "The HFMA Peer Review process assures our members, through a rigorous evaluation, that the reviewed product or service meets an objective third party evaluation that assesses overall effectiveness, quality, and value."
